I’m so excited to have a copy of this book! It’s like Law of Attraction for Littles
It’s an interesting story about a young girl named Sara and a wise owl named Solomon who teaches her how to create the happy life she wants. Many many many lessons in this book for owl of us (snicker) and definitely the type of book you want to share with everyone!
While I was reading along, I took notes of vocabulary words and listed questions to stimulate discussion and/or writing.
Directions: Read the chapter, do the workpage – boom – done – lesson plan!

It was just a few weeks ago I remember rearranging the school room and here I am again, revamping.
I’m convinced, it’s a never ending job.
So today, I was on a mission to make the school room ready for the new school year which is just around the corner and, MOST importantly, just to clean that crazy mess up!
I added a second desk, rearranged a few corners of the room and took a lot of the toys upstairs to the girls room.
I found missing pieces to games, put beads and goggly eyes in the crafty suitcase and found new homes for old items making them seem new again.
Re-sparking interest IS the name of the game when schooling littles.
Dino girl made her entrance just in time for this tired mama to snap one more quick pic!
I’m super ready for bed but still need to switch the last load of laundry and print the kids a new toothbrushing chart to start on tomorrow.
I told them I would give them a prize for finishing their month long chart – I hate to say this, but… I’m thinking either chocolate or cookies to reward their dental data, lol
Or maybe, a movie? Yeah! Popcorn and flossing included
Hanging clothes on the line,
Learning our numbers six past nine,
Hang them neat with space in between,
Now we’ve counted to fifteen!

Also called How to Make a Naked Egg which I *forgot* to mention to my children!
They have absolutely enjoyed observing their eggs and tomorrow, we finally get to play with these rubbery buggers.
A peek into the world of my little scientists…
Kid challenge! How many constellations can you find tonight?
Just a little something to put on the fridge to spark interest of the night sky!

The pile of children’s artwork had been collecting for a few weeks and I felt like it was finally time to show and tell with a updated seasonal wall display.
Our snowflake ballerinas were magically painted and colored into springtime fairies and placed among the flowers, tissue paper mermaids and watercolor songbirds with a rainbow announcement of Love ~ Laugh ~ Smile!!!
Being very inspired by Anna at The Imagination Tree and her Nature Exploration Table ~ I provided my kids with a quick version of my own!
I had the girls scavenge nature items from the yard & bring them into the papered table where I labeled them accordingly.
The girls were also given handmade booklets for them to draw what they saw outside in their Nature journals.
