We did this last year, and while my husband wasn’t impressed with the colors, I thought they were lovely, all muted and pastel-y. This year, we were all really sick on Ashtar, but we did get to see a bunny and a squirrel playing slap hands in the back yard which was funny and made us laugh!

Since our chickens aren’t yet laying eggs, we tend to get our eggs from friends who have chickens. This means very few white eggs. We decided to go with the “no-dye-job” approach this year. Our friends have Aracauna chickens, which lay blue & green eggs, so we ended up with a batch of eggs that ranged in shades of blue & green, as well as shades of peaches and browns. Very cool and the kids could’ve cared less (we hide them in the yard, letting them think the Easter Bunny hid them for them to find)!

What a cute idea! And definitely alot easier than dying your own eggs. lol. More natural, the better. :)

I took some photos of the eggs before they got eaten. You can see them on my green group’s myspace page, but here are two links as well:

-The only bad thing was that the shades of blue didn’t show up in the film. The eggs that look like they are white are actually light blue or green. Oh well.

I didn’t realize how photogenic eggs are, these pictures are so pretty. I love the martini glass by the way! BPA free! lol. <3

Ha ha ha, thanks!! I was really bummed I couldn’t get the blues & greens to show up better. One of our hens is an Araucana, meaning she’ll eventually lay blue and green eggs - so hopefully I can get some good photos of them once she starts laying!
And, yes, the martini glass is BPA free - FINALLY a plus to drinking!! You don’t have to worry about BPA & whether it was from the tap or not!! HAHAHAHA :)

That is so neat that she’ll be laying blue and green eggs! I can’t wait to see!

Oh, and that’s not the only plus to drinking. Haha. :D
