Ahh, the snow is white and the air is fresh. Seems like a fine winter day to bash some baby seal heads in, eh?
In Canada, it’s that time of year again to kill baby seals. The word from PETA is the Canadian government is sanctioning the mass killing of helpless baby harp seals. What’s up with that Canada?
In the weeks ahead, hundreds of thousands of these animals will be beaten and stabbed with sharp hooks and sometimes even skinned alive—all so that someone can put on a coat, a collar, or cuffs made with real baby-seal fur.
We seriously can’t believe people are still purchasing fur but as long as they are, countries like Canada see huge profits from their little fuzzy critters. Encourage people to not buy fur and, if you want to help add pressure to the Canadian government to stop the annual slaughter of baby seals, you can sign this petition. There is also a link to a watch a video on the page. Personally, I don’t need to be convinced of the cruelty on the act of killing baby seals so I passed on the visuals.
