Please Don’t Vote

Really – Why would you?

It’s not like voting really matters or anything, so screw it!  You have WAY better things to do…

Anyone picking up on my sarcasm yet or do you think All Natural Me is a blatant anti-voter?

Pssshhh – Watch the video! Of course I’m joking, I’ll be voting my heart out on Election Day and I hope you do the same.  And I almost don’t want to ask, but do you know who you are voting for?

Share your thoughts.  Much love!

  1. I couldn’t agree more on this one. Especially after learning (sadly just learned it a couple weeks or so ago!) what women went through just to have the RIGHT to vote!!
I have to admit that I used to not vote, and never voted in a Presidential election until Bush/Kerry. I was one of those who didn’t think it really mattered – was too cynical. Now, I am truly worried about the outcome of this election. I truly am worried where we as a country will be a couple years from now. For the first time I’ve actually volunteered for a campaign, just trying to help make a difference, to know that I’ve done all I can do.
And though we consider ourselves Independent (with Libertarian & Green Party beliefs) we’re most certainly voting Democratic this election!!
(And echo-ing the sentiment of being scared to ask who you vote for I have to add the nice quote of “we can disagree without being disagreeable”)

  2. That’s a great video, definitely makes a point. 🙂 I still don’t know who I’m voting for. lol. I’ve been watching the debates and watching the news, and it just seems like everyone likes to talk and say whatever the other person did or wants to do wrong. It reminds me of a bunch of kids taddling on eachother. “Mommy, McCain called me a liar!” Ugh, who cares, just say what you’re going to do… All the negative commericials are exhausting.

    1. One thing that helped me with this was going to the candidates’ individual websites and check out their stance on various issues. This way I could see what they were saying without all the extra crap.

        1. Another thing you can do is go to:

so that you can review their voting records. Ok, I should say that Obama’s senate site is much easier when you want to review his record. I had a terribly difficult time finding a compiled doc like that when looking on McCain’s site. In fact, my searches on his site didn’t give me anything concise like it. If someone else finds it on that site will they please post it here? I already know who I’m voting for but I’d like to review this info so that I can tell fam members who say that they simply want the records so that they can make a decision.

Also, vote now…don’t wait for election day! If you already know who you are voting for you can request a mail in ballot or go to a local early polling station so that you can bypass the major lines on 11/4. It will also help people vote who would otherwise be easily deterred from long waiting lines.

Only 2 weeks to go…for better or for worse. 🙂

  3. Hehe, I love the new Sadie and Dreg cartoons on the top of the blog page. 🙂 Anyone dressing up for Halloween this year? I think I’m going to either be Lucille Ball or a peacock.

    1. Those •are• too cute!

I think you should go as a peacock! I’ve never seen a peacock costume and I think it could be pretty cool!

I’m going as a bag of jelly beans this year. Thanks to someone who posted it somewhere on the net. 🙂

      1. Aw, a bag of jelly beans is adorable! Yeah, I think I’m going to do the peacock, I already have the whole costume. 🙂 I’ll have to take pictures and post them.

        1. HAHAHA – Those cartoons/costumes are a SCREAM!!
Halloween is HUGE here (we get nearly 300 kids a year), so dressing up is mandatory. I’m sporting pink hair right now so I think I’m going to put it up in a mohawk and wear my renaissance-style costume dress and be a “Punk Princess”. The kids are going as trains this year, and Justin will probably go as “Princess PrettyBottom” again, either that or Captain 6-pack — though he is having to dress up like someone from Ghostbusters at work.
